Erstellen eines TelestaiCB-USB-Backup-Sticks mit TelestaiCB Cloner

We recommend you to create another TelestaiCB to store your backup by cloning from your current TelestaiCB. This way, if your TelestaiCB is lost or damaged, you can replace it immediately with your backup TelestaiCB.

1. Start on the TelestaiCB USB stick that you want to back up and clone from.

2. Beim Starten von TelestaiCB entsperren Sie Ihren Persistenzspeicher.

3. Plug in the new USB stick on which you want to create your backup TelestaiCB USB stick and clone to.

4. Wählen Sie Anwendungen ▸ Telestai-CB Cloner.

5. Aktivieren Sie die Option Clone the current Persistent Storage unterhalb der Option Clone the current Telestai-CB.

   

6. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der neue USB-Stick im Menü Ziel-USB-Stick ausgewählt ist.

7. Um den Klonvorgang zu starten, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Installieren.

8. Enter a passphrase for the Persistent Storage on the new USB stick in the Passphrase text box.

9. Enter the same passphrase again in the Confirm text box.

10. Klicken Sie auf Fortfahren.

11. Lesen Sie die Warnmeldung im Bestätigungsfenster.

12. Click Delete All Data and Install to confirm.

    Cloning takes a few minutes.

    The progress bar usually freezes for some time while synchronizing data on disk.

Updating your backup TelestaiCB using the Back Up Persistent Storage utility

1. Start on your current TelestaiCB.

2. Beim Starten von TelestaiCB entsperren Sie Ihren Persistenzspeicher.

3. Plug in your backup TelestaiCB USB stick.

4. Wählen Sie Anwendungen ▸ Systemwerkzeuge ▸ Persistente Speicherung sichern.

   Each time you update your backup, only the files that have changed are copied.

5. If your backup TelestaiCB has an outdated version of TelestaiCB, we recommend you upgrade it by cloning your current TelestaiCB using Telestai-CB Cloner. For detailed instructions, see how to manually upgrade from another TelestaiCB.

Updating your backup TelestaiCB from a terminal

If you prefer updating your backup TelestaiCB from a terminal:

1. Start on your current TelestaiCB.

2. Beim Starten von TelestaiCB richten Sie ein Administrationspasswort ein.

3. Choose Applications ▸ Accessories ▸ Files to open the Files browser.

4. Plug in your backup TelestaiCB USB stick.

   A new encrypted volume appears in the sidebar of the Files browser. Click on it and enter the passphrase of your backup TelestaiCB to unlock the volume.

5. Execute the following command in a Root Terminal:

   rsync -PaSHAXv --del /live/persistence/TelestaiCBData_unlocked/ /media/amnesia/TelestaiCBData
   

   When the command finishes, it displays a summary of the data that was copied. For example:

   sent 32.32M bytes  received 1.69K bytes  21.55M bytes/sec
   total size is 32.30M  speedup is 1.00
