Creating a backup TelestaiCB USB stick using TelestaiCB Cloner

We recommend you to create another TelestaiCB to store your backup by cloning from your current TelestaiCB. This way, if your TelestaiCB is lost or damaged, you can replace it immediately with your backup TelestaiCB.

  1. Start on the TelestaiCB USB stick that you want to back up and clone from.

  2. When starting TelestaiCB, unlock your Persistent Storage.

  3. Plug in the new USB stick on which you want to create your backup TelestaiCB USB stick and clone to.

  4. Choose Applications ▸ TelestaiCB Cloner.

  5. Turn on the option Clone the current Persistent Storage below the option Clone the current TelestaiCB.

  6. Make sure that the new USB stick is selected in the Target USB stick menu.

  7. To start the cloning, click on the Install button.

  8. Enter a passphrase for the Persistent Storage on the new USB stick in the Passphrase text box.

  9. Enter the same passphrase again in the Confirm text box.

  10. Click Continue.

  11. Leggi il messaggio di avviso nella finestra di conferma.

  12. Clicca su Elimina tutti i dati e installa per confermare.

    Cloning takes a few minutes.

    The progress bar usually freezes for some time while synchronizing data on disk.

Updating your backup TelestaiCB using the Back Up Persistent Storage utility

  1. Start on your current TelestaiCB.

  2. When starting TelestaiCB, unlock your Persistent Storage.

Updating your backup TelestaiCB from a terminal

If you prefer updating your backup TelestaiCB from a terminal:

  1. Start on your current TelestaiCB.

  2. When starting TelestaiCB, set up an administration password.

  3. Choose Applications ▸ Accessories ▸ Files to open the Files browser.

    A new encrypted volume appears in the sidebar of the Files browser. Click on it and enter the passphrase of your backup TelestaiCB to unlock the volume.
